ENVIRONMENT-CENTERED LIGHTING DESIGN

Artificial lighting is proven to have a negative impact on both flora and fauna. This can lead to an unbalanced ecostystem which, sooner or later, will have a negative impact on humanity too. An environment-centered approach was used to design a lighting installation for the Achtste Barrier park in Eindhoven, to enhance a feeling of safety for pedestrians, while taking flora and fauna into account.
