CORAL CARE BAG

Coral riffs are dying rapidly because of polluted seas and warmer water. The Coral Care Bag is designed with the data about this process. The fabric is made with natural dyes such as beet root and turmeric, and therefore the bag will bleach overtime just like dying coral. But there is one way to prevent this from happening; to take good care of it. If the bag doesn’t get wet and isn’t exposed to sunlight too much, it will keep its beautiful colors.

The aim of this project was to explore the concept of a bag, making processes and how impermanence can become a part of the design.
